From Nov. 21, 2024 10AM UTC to Feb. 16, 2025 10AM UTC, users can lock their $COOK through flexible or fixed lock-in options on https://meth.mantle.xyz/feast to earn their share of 200 $cmETH. Those opting for longer lock-in periods will earn more COOK Power, maximizing their rewards potential. Rewards are calculated based on daily snapshots of locked COOK Power and distributed after the event concludes.

Following the $COOK TGE and the launch of $cmETH and Season 2: Methamorphosis, the Mantle team has witnessed incredible support from both users and builders. To show our appreciation, we wanted to reward the community for their contributions — and what better way than with $cmETH?

Event Period:

• Nov. 26, 2024 1PM UTC — Dec. 24, 2024 1PM UTC

The prize pool is divided into two sections:

• DeFi Fest Lottery (40%): 400,000 $MNT will be allocated to a lottery held at the end of the campaign. Participants can accumulate tickets by completing tasks throughout the campaign, increasing their chances of winning.
• Protocol Quests (60%): The remaining 600,000 $MNT will be distributed directly to users who actively engage with the participating protocols. Protocol rankings during the campaign are determined by TVL and Daily Active Users (DAUs), both of which are boosted by user interactions. Each protocol tracks individual contributions through tasks like staking, providing liquidity, and completing Advanced and Streak Tasks. The higher a protocol ranks, the larger its prize pool, which is then distributed proportionally to users based on their contributions.

With the community vote completed, 8 standout DeFi protocols are now featured in the Layer3 Quest phase. Users can participate by completing Welcome Tasks and Advanced & Streak Tasks to earn lottery tickets. Additionally, as users complete protocol-specific quests and engage with the platforms, they directly help boost the protocols' TVL and DAU leaderboard rankings while increasing their own chances of earning more rewards.

To resolve the dilemma of choosing between using $MNT to participate in Mantle Governance or locking it in Mantle Rewards Station to earn ecosystem rewards, we've introduced the ability to vote directly with your $MNT tokens locked on Mantle Rewards Station!

Previously, only $MNT tokens held in your Ethereum L1 and Mantle L2 wallets were eligible for governance voting on Snapshot. Now, $MNT tokens locked on Mantle Rewards Station are automatically eligible for voting. This means greater participation, more inclusive decision-making, and a stronger, community-driven network.

Unleash Your Creativity in the $COOK Meme Lab for a Share of 175,000 $COOK

Calling all meme enthusiasts, the $COOK Meme Lab is now open and we're inviting the Mantle community to showcase their talents for a share of the 175,000 $COOK Prize Pool.

Running from Nov. 28, 2024 to Dec. 12, 2024, we're encouraging participants to create engaging memes and Telegram stickers that celebrate $COOK, the governance token of mETH Protocol.

Participants can submit as many memes and stickers as they like, with prizes awarded across three categories:

• Meme Videos: 5 winners - 15,000 $COOK each
• Telegram Sticker Packs: 5 winners - 10,000 $COOK each
• Meme Images/GIFs: 10 winners - 5,000 $COOK each

To take part, creators must follow @mETHProtocol, repost the official announcement, and submit their work via the submission form.

Mantle's Devcon Week Highlights

If you were in Bangkok from Nov. 8, 2024 to Nov. 19, 2024, you may have caught the Mantle team in action during a week packed with tech talks, dev sessions, community mixers, and exclusive meetups. For those who couldn't make it, here are some highlights from Devcon Week.

Tuktuks and Tech: Sozu Haus x Bangkok

During Devcon Week, Sozu Haus Bangkok brought together developers, designers, founders, and researchers for a 12-day hacker village from Nov. 8, 2024 to 19, 2024. The event promoted collaboration and innovation through workshops, lightning talks, co-working sessions, wellness classes, and more. Our very own @0xVEER and @0xjooohn joined the event to support Sozu Haus and join the hacker village!

The week concluded with a demo day, where participants showcased their projects. Mantle, alongside other sponsors, awarded grants to some of the most promising innovations, driving forward the next wave of blockchain innovation.

The Nutty Builders' Brainstorm

During Devcon Week, the Builders' Brainstorm brought together builders and the Mantle team for a relaxed and engaging gathering. The event provided a chill spot for developers to connect, share ideas, and discuss their projects in a casual, pressure-free environment.

One of the highlight of the event was a 1:1 fireside chat with Nader from EigenLayer, who shared insights on consumer crypto, industry gaps, and valuable advice for builders.

With light snacks, drinks, exclusive swag, and a relaxed vibe, the Builders' Brainstorm was the perfect setting to foster collaboration and inspiration. This event was also held in conjunction with the MNT Buildathon, so it's safe to say some of the ideas were nuts!

Mantle's Founder Mode Mixer

Next up, we had Mantle's Founder Mode Mixer, which offered a relaxed setting to connect with the Mantle team and learn more about the work driving the ecosystem forward. Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with Mantle's cracked team, sharing ideas and building connections in a casual and inspiring atmosphere.

Then Mantle took the main stage at Devcon Southeast Asia, where @joshuacheong delivered insights on "Advancing Ethereum Scalability: Architectural Innovation Trends in Layer 2." Attendees also had the chance to connect with the Mantle team at our booth, allowing them to dive deeper into the innovations shaping our ecosystem.
